[Photo of Ba Zhang from here]

Apparently, this Ba Zhang has a client who died on 11 November 2001 because his whole family died in an air crash and the client left behind U.S NINETEEN MILLION DOLLARS ($19,000,000) behind. The bank asked him to look for his next of kin and since there isn’t any, BaZhang looked for me because me and the dead rich dude has the same last name.

Well… If my name is Kris QwertyWTFLOLBBQ then it isn’t a problem I guess. I don’t think anybody has that for a surname, but my surname is…

TAN

According to wikipedia, the MOST common ethnic Chinese surname is none other than ‘TAN’! 9.5% of the Chinese in Singapore have the same surname as me which means that you 237,800 Tans have a chance to share the 19 million dollars with our dear BaZhang friend

I have no need of so much monopoly money. So, don’t hesitate! CONTACT BAZHANG NOW!

The Trait in Me That I Do Not Admire

Like everyone else in this world, I have certain traits that I do not like, much less admire. I do have to point out that traits, whether good or bad, can be rather subjective. A quiet person might be deemed boring to some but others might value the person as the perfect companion to let one’s heart out to. A thrifty person might be seen as a scrooge to some but others will admire the persons determination in saving.

One of the traits that I have a love/hate relationship about me is,

Carelessness

.

I can be VERY VERY careless at times and I will tell you why.

.

E.g. #1

Once, during my poly days at Ngee Ann, I woke up like any usual morning for an early class. I took a lift down from the 6th storey to the ground level. Walked from the void deck to the bus stop. Took a bus from Jurong West to Clementi. Walked from the bus terminal up to the MRT station to cross the bridge down to the other side. Took a bus from there to Ngee Ann Poly. Walked past the crowds at the canteen. Walked past at least 4 to 5 buildings. Took the stairs up to my tutorial class.

My class resident chiobu, Kaiying, walked up to me as I tried to lean with my back on the wall with the coolest posture ever. She took a step closer and it was close enough for us to kiss and she whispered,

“Krisssss……..”

“Yeah?”

(She leans even closer)

“Your pants is not zipped up….”

“…………..”

.

E.g. #2

I was serving the Air Force(RSAF) as a regular and one Monday morning, I had to report to a highly secured facility in…… Singapore. I woke up a late and had to rush a little. I put on my smartly pressed uniform with my shining epaulettes indicating that I am an officer who is ranked as a Lieutenant.

I took a cab down to the facility and had to walk past the security check. As I approached the metal detector, a guard meekly called out to me,

“Er…. Sir?”

“Yes?”

“Sir… er… you… er….”

“What?”

“Sir… Er… You need to take ‘those’ out”

(He points at my left ear)

“Ah?…… OH SHIT!

.

Turns out that I had not one but two studs on my left earlobe as I usually wear them over the weekends to act cool. After that incident, I was on a ‘Hi, Bye’ relationship with the guard. He probably told all his colleagues about it and I am not surprised if he did because I would have done the same.

“You see that Officer over there! I caught him reporting to work wearing studs on his ears that day lor! Kuku BIRD! WAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!”

.

But of course, the good point about my carelessness is that I turn out goofy sometimes from such incidents and I make people laugh over it.

………………….

Okay…. That’s enough.

Stop laughing.

Never Travel With Krisandro and KuKuNehNeh!

The scenario is simple. The Boyfriend works at Aljunied. The Girlfriend works at Bugis. The plan was to meet up and travel together to Jurong East via the MRT and take a bus to Jurong West to have dinner at the Boyfriends place.

Simple isn’t it?

Most would have the Boyfriend travel along the East West(EW) line from Aljunied and have the Girlfriend hop on at Bugis and travel together to Jurong East MRT.

travel-route

But not so simple for the dynamic duo of Krisandro and KuKuNehNeh (KKNN).

.

.

Through email during office hours

aljunied

Me: “Dear! Meet at City Hall MRT at the last cabin okay?”

KKNN: “Okay!”

.

After work at City Hall MRT

city-hall

(I alighted the train and saw KKNN siting at the marble bench.)

Me: “Hello Dear!”

*Smooch*

KKNN: “Wah. This train so crowded. Let’s wait for the next one.”

(A few mins later….)

“This train stops at Yishun leh.”

“Yah.. then wait for the next train lor.”

(A few more mins later….)

“EH! This train also stops at YISHUN leh! So wierd.”

“Hungry liao! Just go on it first lar!”

(We board the train)

.

A minute after we board the train

city-hall-enroute

KKNN: “EH DEAR!”

Me: “What?”

“We are going Jurong East right? Why are we on the North South(NS) Line?

“EH! YA HOR!”

“WAH LAU! Why YOU SO KUKU!

“WAH LAU! YOU ALSO WHAT!”

“Nevermind, we drop at Dhoby Ghaut and go back to the EW Line.”

dhoby-ghaut

.

At City Hall MRT…….again.

city-hall

KKNN: “Hungry already lar!”

Me: “Eh! Why we alight here ah? Opposite is the EW line lar. But it goes to Pasir Ris. We should have alighted at Raffles Place.”

KKNN: “WAH LAU! WHY YOU NEVER TELL ME!”

“WAH LAU! I DID WHAT!!!”

“HUNGRY LEH!”

“Aiya, I bring you around walk walk mah… Lets walk upstairs to catch the westbound train.”

.

At Jurong East…Finally.

jurong-east

KKNN: “HUNGRY DEY! WANT TO FAINT ALREADY!!!”

.

A simple Aljunied–> Bugis–> Jurong East trip turned into a Aljunied–> City Hall–> Dhoby Ghaut–> City Hall–> City Hall B1–> Jurong East.

.

Do not, I repeat… DO NOT travel with Krisandro and KuKuNehNeh.

Hello Everyone! This is Krisandro and I Work for Yebber!

logo-sg

This is quite a surprise for everyone who is following my blog isn’t it? Most people would think that I am still into photography or the real estate or still trying to sandpaper my face to get into SIA as a cabin crew. I first got to know of an opening through Claudia who is much recognized as the Community Manager at Yebber. In fact, she was just asking casually over WLM,

“Do you know anyone who is interested in a sales/marketing position?”

“Erm…. Me?”

.

Wahahahahaa. That was the beginning of my interest in the job as I found out more about it and we subsequently set an interview date with the boss of Yebber on the following Thursday. Oh yes, that was the day I met with the talent scout as well.

No moles, no eyebags, no acne scars!

Armed with a functional resume and an OVERLY photoshopped picture, I made my way down to the office. I was pretty early and since I haven’t ate an ounce of food the whole day, I went to the nearby 7-11 to grab myself a stick of fishballs and a roll of popiah. At the foot of the building where Yebber’s office was at, I wanted to sink my teeth into my brunch when I saw a familiar face from afar. Yes, it was Claudia and beside her was non other than my future boss.

So much for brunch…

Up the building we went and into the interview room, filled up the forms and had a nice long conversation with the boss. I always liked job interviews, It’s the chance for me to create a connection with the interviewer(s). All in all, I think he liked they fact that I spent a good deal of time in the Air Force as an air traffic controller in which he was familiar with, due to a family member. He also see that I share similar interest in the web and photography like the rest of the Yebber family. In his words,

“They are all DSLR crazy!”

.

One thing probably stumped him and he asked me,

“If you have so much interest in the web and you own a blog, why haven’t you joined Yebber as a member?”

.

I can’t really recall what I answered but after thinking about it back home, I think my answer can be used to study why people like me are not joining Yebber.

Halfway through the interview, I noticed that the way he addressed me and the job was as though I had already clinched it and much to my delight, he hired me on the spot. Wooo Hoooo!!!

I look forward to my days in the Yebber team as this job is quite close to the heart of the blogging community and being such, owning a blog is more of a bonus to the company than a crippling factor. But of course I know that from now onwards, anything I say about Yebber will be thought by you guys as COMPLETE SHAMELESS BIASNESS.

.

YEBBER ROCKS!!!

.

LOL
