I’ve been an avid follower of American Idol ever since my brother started watching it years ago and and I’ve said it once, but I’ll say it again. It’s really the BEST season ever with the amount of talented singers.

These are the top 3 performances in ascending order in my humble opinion.

Carly Smithson may rank third for this weeks performance, but she is still my firm favorite to win the show based on her voice.

The Un-Lousy Soy Milk and Bean Curd

Many people who try to advertise their products have came up with banners that read, “BEST!”, “NUMBER #1!”, “LEADING BRAND!”, “GREAT TASTE!”, “FAMOUS” and etc. How many times have you used a product and exclaimed to yourself or your imaginary friend and said, “WHAT? This is the BEST?”

So, it was heartwarming to see that someone came up with this banner.

Great isn’t it? The store didn’t IMPLY that their soy milk and bean curd taste good; They just said their products is NOT lousy. So the odds of you being disappointed is lowered!

I didn’t have the chance to try their stuffs yet but, I just think that the placement of the banner needs to be reviewed.

Happy Good Friday everyone! I was supposed to go jogging this morning but I had to save a drowning kid, a pregnant woman from a fire and an old man from Mas Selamat claws.

Now, if you believe all of the above, you will be blessed for life if you transfer $1000 to my POSB account now.

Now, If you think that I am bullshitting, you are right! I was just lazy…

Anyway, Ruifang and I strolled down to have lunch and as I was talking to her, she SUDDENLY squealed in excitement.

Me: “…blah blah blah.. you know blah blah….

*SQUEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

Me: “What WHAT?”

Ruifang: “OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!”

Me: “WHAT??”

*SQUEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

Yeah, that was the prelude to what I was gonna see.

There was a woman and a kid with a box in the distance. And surrounding her was a litter of puppies. And if I was any gay-er, I would have squealed as well.

I am a Considerate Singaporean but..

I was at my friend, Windelyn’s birthday party last Saturday with Ruifang in tow. Being the clever mutant that Windelyn is, she made it a ‘potluck’ affair. Everyone had to bring a dish to the party, which explains why I had to make sure I get Ruifang to come along.

Hello? Me? Cook?

Being the sensible person that I am, I didn’t want to poison the whole gang. In comes Ruifang, the cooker….. I mean…. The Cook! She made this fabulous dish called Cream Cheese Spring Roll in Mango Sauce! It tastes good! It tastes of…… Cream Cheese, Spring Roll and Mango Sauce.

*Cough Cough*

Anyway, it’s a recipe of Audrey’s which she got from somewhere else. No pics though. I’ll post it up again when I have the chance.

So! Sometime in the night, dices and dice cups were brought out to play. Being the Hao-Lian-ing person that I am, I proceeded to do the 双天至尊 stunts on the floor. Ruifang came along and tried to do it too.

Below is my rough memory of how a conversation followed.

Me: “Eh dear, I think you better stop playing with the dice.”

Ruifang: “Why?”

Me: “We are playing on the floor lar. It’s so noisy. What if we disturb the neighbours downstairs?”

(At this point in time, I was feeling so good. Everyone must think that I am so considerate)

Ruifang+Friend A+FriendB: “But….. We are on the SECOND FLOOR(of the HDB) leh…..”

WAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!!
